If you’re looking for physiotherapy near Westend in Budapest, MozgásKlinika Újlipótváros is on the mezzanine floor of Váci út 28, directly across the road from Westend, between Lehel tér and Nyugati pályaudvar. The M3 metro, trams 4 and 6, the train and the car all get you here easily. Below you’ll find which way to come, where to park, and what to bring to your first appointment.

Where exactly are we, opposite Westend?

The full address is Váci út 28, mezzanine (félemelet) 2, 1132 Budapest. That puts us in the 13th district (XIII. kerület), at the southern tip of Újlipótváros, right next door to Nyugati.

Stand on the Váci út side of Westend and look across the road. That’s us. The DM drugstore on Váci út is close by and a handy landmark, and the Ferdinánd híd bridge is right in the neighbourhood too.

Once through the front door there are a few steps, and then a lift takes you up to the mezzanine. If you’re coming with a wheelchair, a pushchair or crutches, or stairs are hard for you right now (say, soon after knee or hip surgery), give us a call beforehand and we’ll work out the easiest way in together.

By metro, tram or train

Public transport is the easy option here. The clinic sits between two M3 stops and one of the city’s busiest interchanges.

  • M3 metro: get off at Lehel tér or Nyugati pályaudvar. We’re on Váci út between the two, so you walk the last stretch from either side. Lehel tér is closer (about 2–3 minutes from the exit); from Nyugati pályaudvar it’s about 8 minutes on foot.
  • Trams 4 and 6: from the Nyugati tér stop, head up Váci út towards Lehel tér. About an 8-minute walk.
  • Train: if you commute into Nyugati railway station from outside Budapest, you can walk over from the station. About an 8-minute walk.

Coming from Angyalföld or further up Váci út? The M3 brings you straight here, as we explain in physiotherapy for Angyalföld along the M3. From an office in the 5th district, our guide for people coming from the Nyugati side has a few more tips. And if you live in Újlipótváros itself, walking is often simplest: see physiotherapy near Szent István park and Pozsonyi út.

By car: park at Westend

Driving? The most convenient option is to park in the Westend underground car park and walk across Váci út to us. Patients tell us parking hasn’t been a problem this way. With the Westend app, parking costs 500 HUF per hour.

On-street parking is possible, but the area is a paid zone. At rush hour Váci út and the Nyugati tér area can be slow, so leave a few minutes spare, especially on your first visit when you’re still finding the way out of the car park.

When can you come?

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 8:00–20:00, closed on Saturday and Sunday. You can book online or call us on +36 30 790 6270.

If something comes up, please cancel at least 24 hours ahead. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged in full and settled at your next appointment.

What to bring to your first visit

Your first visit is a consultation of about 60 minutes, which includes an assessment and a review of any reports and scans you already have, MRI included. The more you bring, the faster we see the whole picture.

Worth packing:

  • medical reports, discharge summaries or specialist opinions related to your problem (Hungarian or English is fine);
  • results from imaging (MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound) and, if you have them, the images themselves;
  • comfortable clothes you can move freely in (you can change at the clinic);
  • a list of any medication you take regularly;
  • your health fund details, if you want a health fund invoice.

No reports at all? Come anyway. You don’t need a referral.

Your first visit follows three steps:

  1. We map out your problem: we ask about your history, then use the MozgásPiramis® (Movement Pyramid) assessment and functional tests to see where the pain is likely coming from.
  2. We tailor a treatment plan to you, starting from the level of the MozgásPiramis® that fits where you are now.
  3. We start treatment in that very first session, so there’s no waiting for a second appointment after the assessment.

A quick note on the Hungarian terms you’ll see around the clinic: gyógytorna is physiotherapy built on therapeutic exercise, and manuálterápia is manual therapy, hands-on treatment of joints and soft tissue. Our first-assessment article walks through the whole visit step by step.

You can pay by cash, bank card or SZÉP card, and health fund invoices are available. Current fees are on our physiotherapy and manual therapy prices page. If you have foreign health insurance, please note: we issue standard Hungarian invoices only, can’t fill in forms for foreign insurers, and claiming reimbursement is up to you. All set? Book a consultation (opens in a new tab).

Fitting treatment around work and errands

A treatment plan is rarely a single session. At level 1 of the MozgásPiramis®, the clinic’s own protocol is two sessions a week, twelve in total. How many you’ll actually need nobody can promise in advance, because everyone responds differently. What is certain: if you’re coming twice a week for several weeks, it matters a lot how easy the clinic is to reach.

Working in one of the office buildings along Váci út? A session can fit before work, after work or into a longer lunch break (Monday to Friday, 8:00–20:00). Heading to Westend anyway? Combine the two, since from the car park you only have to cross the road. If you commute through Nyugati, we’re on your way home, and if you live in Újlipótváros there’s no need to trek into the city centre to see a physiotherapist.

Who you’ll work with here, and when it’s worth seeing a physiotherapist at all, is covered in physiotherapists in the 13th district. If hands-on treatment is what you’re after, read manual therapy in Újlipótváros.
