If you live in Angyalföld or Vizafogó and need physiotherapy, you don’t have to cross into the city centre for it. MozgásKlinika Újlipótváros is at Váci út 28, opposite Westend, close to the Lehel tér stop on the M3 metro line. It’s a 2–3 minute walk from the Lehel tér metro exit. You stay within the same 13th district (XIII. kerület), and if you already ride the M3 to work or into town, your appointments sit right on your usual route.

Physiotherapy from Angyalföld: one metro ride, no changes

The M3 runs underneath Váci út, so from most of Angyalföld one train brings you here. From Dózsa György út, Lehel tér is just one stop away. From Vizafogó and the northern end of Váci út you’re on the same line, only for a few more stops.

Get off at Lehel tér and walk down Váci út towards Nyugati. The clinic sits between Lehel tér and Nyugati pályaudvar, across the road from Westend; inside the front door there are a few steps and then a lift up to the mezzanine. Lehel tér is the closer stop: about 2–3 minutes from the exit, versus about 8 minutes from Nyugati pályaudvar. For the full walking route, parking and a description of the entrance, see our how-to-find-us guide.

Driving is straightforward too. Head south along Váci út, leave the car in the Westend underground car park, and cross the road. With the Westend app, parking costs 500 HUF per hour.

Why a clinic on your route actually matters

A treatment plan rarely means one visit. At the first level of the clinic’s MozgásPiramis® (Movement Pyramid) method, our own protocol is 12 sessions, twice a week, which works out at roughly six weeks of regular visits. Nobody can promise in advance exactly how many you’ll need, though. Everyone responds to treatment differently.

There’s a well-known trap. Level 1 is where most people drop out, usually once the sharp pain eases, even though the job isn’t finished and the problem is more likely to come back. Missed sessions often aren’t about motivation at all but about logistics: when the clinic is across town, when every visit means an extra change of line, an extra half hour and a bit of juggling around work and family, then by week five or six it gets very easy to tell yourself “I’ll skip this one, it doesn’t hurt that much anyway”.

When the appointment is somewhere you pass anyway, far less depends on willpower.

From Angyalföld that can look like a few different things. You hop off at Lehel tér before work, then carry on into town. Or you stop for an hour on the way home. If you work in one of the office buildings along Váci út, sessions can become a fixed point in your week. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 8:00–20:00, and closed at weekends.

What can you come to us with?

We offer gyógytorna (physiotherapy based on therapeutic exercise), manuálterápia (manual therapy), an individual targeted treatment plan and rehabilitation after injury. The most common reasons people come in are lower back and back pain, neck pain, a slipped (herniated) disc, shoulder, hip or knee pain, sports injuries, and rehab after surgery such as a joint replacement or a knee ligament or meniscus operation.

Sit in an office for eight hours, stand or sit on the metro either side of it, and your lower back and neck will often let you know. We’ve written about that in more detail in our article on lower back pain. When it makes sense to see a physiotherapist at all, and what they actually do, is covered in our piece on physiotherapists in the 13th district, and you can read about hands-on treatment in our manual therapy article.

Your first visit and booking

You don’t need a separate assessment appointment followed by a treatment one. The first visit runs in three steps:

  1. We map out your problem: we ask about your history, look through any reports you bring, then use the MozgásPiramis® assessment and functional tests to find where the pain is likely coming from.
  2. We tailor the treatment plan to you, starting from the right level of the Pyramid.
  3. We start treatment in that same first session.

For a step-by-step walkthrough and what to bring, see our article on the first assessment. You can pay by cash, bank card or SZÉP card (a Hungarian employee benefits card), and we can issue invoices for Hungarian health funds (egészségpénztár); current fees are on our prices page. Please note that we issue Hungarian invoices only, we can’t fill in forms for foreign insurers, and claiming any reimbursement is your own responsibility.

Book online, or call +36 30 790 6270. One thing worth knowing if you commute: if something comes up, cancel at least 24 hours ahead, because later cancellations are charged in full. If that all works for you, book a consultation (opens in a new tab).

Frequently asked questions

Which stop should I get off at coming from Angyalföld?

Lehel tér on the M3, then walk along Váci út towards Nyugati. The clinic is at Váci út 28, opposite Westend. It’s about 2–3 minutes from the Lehel tér exit; Nyugati pályaudvar is further, about 8 minutes.

Can I fit sessions in before or after work?

We’re open Monday to Friday, 8:00–20:00, and closed at weekends; you’ll see free slots when you book. If you take the M3 to work, the most convenient slots are usually on the way home or before you start, because they don’t add a detour.

What if it stops hurting after a few sessions?

It’s still worth finishing what we agreed in your treatment plan. This is exactly the most common mistake at the first level: less pain doesn’t mean the cause has been dealt with, and stopping early makes a relapse more likely.

Is it easy to drive from Angyalföld?

Yes. Come south along Váci út, park in the Westend underground car park, and cross Váci út to the clinic. Street parking around here is paid.

Tomorrow morning, when you get on the metro at Dózsa György út, you’d only need to get off one stop early for someone to take a proper look at what hurts and why. Book a consultation (opens in a new tab).
